Sekhukhune District, Limpopo

Definition

Sekhukhune is the smallest of the five district municipalities in Limpopo and has its seat in the small town of Groblersdal. The district consists of numerous scattered rural villages with limited economic infrastructure. Children make up 43% of the district population.1 Almost all (97%) live in rural areas, and most (97%) of school-aged children (7 – 17 years) are reported to be attending school.2
